» Greg Cruey - Standard Dress Code?
Hi Debbie.I voted no. But the question is "what's the dress code?" I live now with the idea that I must "dress professionally" written into the law in my state I think. Is that a dress code? (It's not much of a code).
The county I live in recently decided that all male teachers have to wear ties (unless they teach PE or shop). And in slightly less firm tones they asked female teacher to wear dresses. I put that in the category of "things that make you go 'hmmm'."
And, of course, there's always the question of whether I can wear my black felt Stetson from my car to the classroom without taking it off in the hallway (my hands are usually full); administrators in the past have told me I can't and my union rep says I can. I usually don't... ![]()
