Ideas to have more great days as a Substitute Teacher.

Substitute teaching is a challenging and rewarding career. Each day is a new day, with new demands from students, administration, and the host teacher. To have a great day as a Substitute, the teacher needs to have a great mindset.

Think back to your school days and it was the mission of students to destroy the Substitute teacher. However, if you come in and make a connection within 5 minutes of class, you will have a wonderful day. Bring a bag of tricks that makes their usual day seem exciting and out of the ordinary. Start with a mind teaser or a magic trick.

As well, always give a treat of time to students to play a fun game. Students are more than willing to behave it there is something in it for them.
