Their is never enough teaching time in a day. After lunch, recess, morning announcements, and transition time, the average teacher has less than 5 hours to educate the young minds of tomorrow. Throw a few disruptive students in the mix and the time quickly diminshes. It is imperative that teachers keep their teaching time by making students more responsible for their choices. How to improve students behavior is a long running debate between school administrators and teachers.
Would it not be better to give a 30 minute break Wednesday afternoon, if the teacher has no disruptions the previous week?
