Setting and Achieving Goals

With the new year comes new resolutions for many of us. Teach your students how to set and achieve their goals in a simple four step process.

Every year and periodically throughout the year I put my goals to pen and paper. If you want a goal to be realized you need to see it in black and white. It cannot be a reoccurring thought that periodically calls your name to take notice. You need to write down your goals if you are to be successful in attaining your goals.

Teaching students how to set and achieve their goals is an incredible gift. If you talk to students they have great dreams but they do not have the knowledge or skill of how to attain their goal. Students need to be taught how to write a goal and to create mini goals for their big goal to be realized. With time constraints it seems goal setting may take too much time but it is a gift that will last a lifetime if they truly learn and understand the concept.
