Strategies to organize the classroom before school starts.

Teachers need to organize desks, classroom materials, students belongings, and their personal library in their classroom each year. Often the classrooms are overflowing with desks, giving teachers limited space for the remaining stuff. Teachers must implement a plan before the first day of school to organize the classroom. It is best to design a plan that is simple and easy to follow if success is to be achieved.

Mobile storage solutions are ideal for small classes as it allows the teacher to move the materials effortlessly from classroom to classroom. Clear storage containers are best as the students and teacher are able to see the material.

After the teacher has designed the class, he must decide on how to organize the paper. As much as we desire to decline paper use in the classroom, we still use countless amount of paper for teaching the students. Paper management is a great skill to teach the students to ensure their desks are not overflowing with useless or outdated paper.

Implement strategies before students enter the classroom, and review the procedures often in the initial stages. Once the students learn the different strategies, review monthly, as organization of our stuff is a difficult concept to learn.
