Tips to get boys excited about reading.

Will boys be reading this Spring Break?

Many educators will give limited homework over the spring break but will encourage them to read each night. The big question is how many boys will chose to read without parental nagging. Boys are great readers they just need great books to read. Often boys are bored after the first 2 pages and will opt for some other activity. Most adults and children will read if the material relates to them or intrigues them. Their is not a boy who plays video games who is unwilling to read the cheats or will not read the stats of their favorite sports hero.

Reading is a gift and as educators we need to provide an environment that supports and intrigues boys to read.
