Language Art Activities
- Have the students write for 100 seconds, and then have the students write how it felt to write for 100 seconds.
- Give a spelling test with the top 100 words the students should know in regards to their grade level.
- Students work in groups to think of 100 adjectives. Adjectives are describing words.
- Students work in groups to think of 100 ways to begin or finish a story.
- Students collect 100 cans for charity and write how it made them feel to assist those less fortunate.
- Students write 100 things they are grateful for since their birth. Answers such as breathing and sleeping are acceptable.
- Students draw a picture of themselves at 100 minutes old, 100 days old, 100 weeks old and 100 years old. The students will write a paragraph or two at what a typical day is for them at this age.
- Describe a student’s life 100 years ago. The student will write what they think a person was like one hundred years ago.
- Imagine life 100 years from now and how life would be similar and different. Students can draw a picture to correlate with their thoughts on life 100 years from now.
- Write hello in 100 different languages.
